Frederick G. L. Huetwell Professor of History

The Frederick G. L. Huetwell Professor of History honors Frederick (Fritz) Huetwell, who received his A.B. degree from the University of Michigan in 1938. Huetwell devoted considerable energy to promoting the University of Michigan Club of Detroit as its executive director for many years. During his lifetime he provided ongoing support for medical research and need-based scholarships for undergraduate students. The Huetwell professorship is shared by four faculty members, including Deborah Dash Moore, Frankel Center Director and an historian whose work focuses on American Jews in the modern era.
