RLL Announces 31st Hayward Keniston Lecture Speaker

The Department of Romance Languages & Literatures (RLL) is very pleased to announce Professor Claudio Lomnitz as the 31st Hayward Keniston speaker.

Professor Lomnitz is the William H. Ransford Professor of Anthropology at Columbia University. His research focuses on the history, politics and culture of Latin America, particularly that of Mexico. His books include Death and the Idea of Mexico (Zone Books, 2005) and Deep Mexico, Silent Mexico: An Anthropology of Nationalism (University of Minnesota Press, 2001).

The Hayward Keniston Lecture will take place on Thursday March 14, 2013 at 6pm in the Michigan Room of the Michigan League.
