RLL Summer Volunteering Grant
RLL offers the RLL Summer Volunteering Grant to declared majors in a Romance language(s) at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor who have accepted a volunteering position for summer in which their Romance language skills will be used extensively. The student must be declared at least one year prior to applying for this stipend. This is a one-time $500 grant and cannot be used for a study abroad program or internship. The award will only be made before a student begins their volunteering experience. The grant is awarded to students based on their academic achievements, the nature of their volunteering position, their history of proven volunteerism and commitment to volunteerism, and strength of their application. Students graduating before or during the time of their volunteering project are not eligible for this grant.
If a student is awarded a grant, upon acceptance the student is required to sign and return their award letter and to write a 1-2 page summary of their experience after the duration of their volunteering project has ended.
