Major Projects:
- Cameroonian Nyos-Monoun Degassing Program (NMDP). Installed degassing pipes at these two lakes after carbon dioxide from their waters killed over 1800 people and thousands of livestock (1997-2006, Cameroonian Government, US Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance, French Embassy in Cameroon).
- Lake Victoria Research Project. As a major food and economic resource for millions of people, Lake Victoria has undergone alarming changes within its ecosystem. Project aimed to determine the controls of these changes in Lake Victoria in order to support or contest current ecosystem theories (1994-1999, NSF).
