System Maintenance the Night of Friday, January 27

Change Date/Time: 1/27/2012 08:00 PM - 12:00 Midnight

Systems Affected: The following systems may be unavailable for viewing and/or editing during this time - VCMS 7.6 Production web sites, including the LSA home page launched last week

Change Details: The Web Services Team will be patching the Production environment to the latest cumulative update (20111113) on Friday evening, January 27th, beginning at 8pm. Technical details are in  the change log (changeID 2079).

Justification: Now that the bulk of the LSA Dean's Office web sites -- LSA Today, Alumni & Friends, Faculty & Staff, Parents, and Research -- have launched, and the end of F'11 and start of W'12 change freezes are over, we can finally update the Production servers to the same cumulative update as has been running in the Development (changeID 2020) and QA (changeID 2021) tiers since late last year. This update fixes seven bugs, including a database deadlock, a memory leak, and a cache-clearing issue.
