Stuart A. Batterman named Fullbright Scholar

Professor Stuart A. Batterman has recently been selected as one of three faculty members from the Ann Arbor campus to be awarded the 2011-2012 U.S. Department of State Fullbright Scholarship grants to lecture or conduct research abroad.
Each year, the program sends 800 U.S. faculty and professionals abroad each year, providing funding for research or lecturing abroad. Selected professionals are able to practice abroad for 2 to 12 months, spanning 140 countries. For more about the international institute, visit their website.
Professor Batterman, professor of environmental health sciences, School of Public Health, with joint appointment with Program in the Environment will be lecturing and performing a research fellowship at the University of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal from April to July 2012. His focus will be "Linking Public Health, Energy, and Sustainability."
