  My research examines African American politics, social  movements and community-based activism throughout the 20th century, particularly the radical movements of the post-civil-rights era. Other fields of interest include comparative studies of race and ethnicity, African American/Latino relations, Afro-Latino identity and politics, and transnational studies.
