ePortfolios

Like most UM students, WISE RP students are involved in many experiences outside the classroom. The ePortfolio provides a creative way to integrate all student learning experiences into one dynamic format.  Students can share their ePortfolio with advisors, colleagues, and potential employers through a single URL.

WISE RP second-year students have the unique opportunity to enroll in a one-credit course, UC270, in which they embark on the creation of an electronic portfolio.  Through a series of reflective activities and interactions with their instructors and peers, students work to identify their personal values and goals and to make connections between their academic experiences and co-curricular passions.  The course culminates in our “ePortfolio Showcase,” during which students present their portfolios and discuss their personal reflective journey.

As noted by former WISE RP returner Brianna Bloxsom, the process of creating an ePortfolio helps students articulate how their diverse experiences have shaped their beliefs and aspirations and gives them a creative outlet through which to share these with others.
