Rita's research focuses broadly on traditional gender roles, sexual scripts, and the ways in which they shape people's ideas of how women and men should behave. Her current work focuses on the outcomes of endorsing traditional sexual scripts, especially in regards to sexual health. She is also interested in how experiences of "everyday sexism" and sexual harassment affect women's well-being in the workplace.
