Scholarly Interests: I am interested in studying ‘everyday’ sexism and other displays of inequality that seem normative or go unnoticed. I am especially interested in how everyday sexism in the workplace affects women’s success in leadership positions and STEM careers. Additionally, I am interested in studying the connection between the sexualization of girls and women in the media and violence against women. My research interests also include feminism and empowerment, and exploring the ways in which a feminist identity can help women and men recognize and reject gender stereotypes and sexism.
