Nine credits chosen between SPANISH 279 and 399; or two RCLANG 324 and six credits chosen between SPANISH 279 and 399.
Advisory Prerequisites:
One of: SPANISH 298, ROMLING 298, SPANISH 289 or LING 210 AND six credits of 300 level Spanish.
Repeatability:
May not be repeated for credit.

Description

Este es un curso avanzado y de perfeccionamiento que presupone previos conocimientos teóricos y prácticos de traducción. Los participantes profundizarán sus conocimientos de traducción en las dos direcciones, con énfasis en la traducción inversa (de inglés a español), identificarán y aplicarán varios procedimientos de traducción, perfeccionarán sus conocimientos en el uso del idioma a nivel léxico y morfosintáctico, y recibirán formación en interpretación consecutiva.

This course counts as an elective toward the Spanish minor.

For Fall 2021: During certain periods of the term, we will engage in large discussions about the course content in an in-person format; during other periods of the term, we will engage in activities where students collaborate in small-group activities via breakout sessions in Zoom.
