The course provides students with readings in translation theory and procedures, as well as ample practice of Spanish to English translation in order to improve their Spanish skills and to give them an introduction to the issues involved in translation.

This class counts toward the Spanish major and as elective credit toward the Spanish minor.

Course Requirements:

The final grade will be based on exams and two projects.

Class Format:

The course will be conducted mostly in Spanish and will require active daily participation in group translations.
