BIOLOGY 305, and one of: MCDB 310, BIOLCHEM 415, or CHEM 351; or graduate student standing.
BS:
This course counts toward the 60 credits of math/science required for a Bachelor of Science degree.
Repeatability:
May not be repeated for credit.

Description

Can we build a living cell from molecular components? This course addresses one of the grand scientific challenges of this century: building a synthetic cell from scratch. Building a cell will answer the fundamental questions of 'how life works' and 'what it means to be alive?'
