Description

EARTH 110 is a minicourse that explores the impacts of climate change on the world's oceans and the history of past oceanic life, events, and environments as recorded in seafloor sediments. Lectures address the nature and rate of past and modern (anthropogenic) perturbations to the physical, chemical, and biological state of the oceans.

Course Requirements:

Exams will be in person or on Canvas, 1 hour exam time.

Intended Audience:

Intended for all students interested in the oceans, how they have changed through Earth history, and how humans are changing the oceans today.

2 hours of lecture per week
