No credit granted to students who have completed or are currently enrolled in EEB 493 (Behavioral Ecology at UMBS), or NRE/ENVIRON 415/EEB 424.
Enforced Prerequisites:
BIOLOGY 172, 174, or 192; or BIOLOGY 195 & 173. Or Graduate Student Standing.
Advisory Prerequisites:
EEB 390 (Evolution).
Other Course Info:
(Offered in odd years at the Biological Station).

This course counts toward the 60 credits of math/science required for a Bachelor of Science degree.

Description

An introduction to animal behavior. The comparative method as well as various experimental approaches to the study of behavior of animals are presented. Emphasis on the integration of the various factors influencing behavior.
