Description

This seminar explores the ways in which culture impacts mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment/intervention approaches. Topics will include: cultural influences on mental health stigma, conceptualizations of distress, and approaches to healing/intervention; impacts of historical and contemporary social context on behavioral health; and culture considerations in psychotherapy practice.
