I specialize in the history of medieval and early modern North Africa, Europe, and the Mediterranean. My dissertation, based on extensive research in archives and libraries in Morocco, Tunisia, Spain, and Italy, investigates the circulation of geographical knowledge between Muslim, Christian, and Jewish scholars, geographers, and travelers who traversed the Mediterranean region and beyond between the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.
