NPR's Prairie Home Companion, hosted by Garrison Keillor, held its live broadcast performance at the University of Michigan's Hill Auditorium on June 1st. In Segment 2 of the broadcast, Keillor talked about Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan's history and notable figures. He went on to mention admissions standards, tuition, and a few current courses, including two of Sweetland's Writing 200 mini-courses. The fun begins around the 36-minute mark on the embedded podcast below.
"Out of state tuition, $39,122. Back in my day it was $960, but then back in my day there was not a course in Caribbean Literature. We did not have that, or The Rhetoric of Blogging. There was no course entitled The Audio Essay: Remix and Creative-Nonfiction Approaches to the Podcast."
