I will be performing phylogenomic analysis of trees of the family Lecythidaceae, which are a dominant component of Amazonian forests. The goal is to reconstruct the phylogenetic history and temporal patterns of diversification in this important group as part of a study addressing questions related to the origin and maintenance of high levels of Amazonian biodiversity.
