About
Francy Luna Diaz is a Ph.D. Candidate in Political Science at the University of Michigan. Francy earned her B.A. in Political Science and Law from the University of Arizona in 2019 and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Francy’s research is supported by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Her interests center on American Politics, public opinion and behavior, political psychology, social media, misinformation and disinformation, and Latino politics. Francy Luna Diaz’s dissertation examines how misinformation spread through social media influences the political behavior of Latinos in the U.S.
Currently, Francy also serves as the co-president of I-REP (Interdisciplinary Race, Ethnicity and Politics Workshop). I-REP provides an interdisciplinary and collaborative working space and encourages conversations among scholars of race, ethnicity, and politics across the University of Michigan.
