About
Patrick Peralta is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science and a Rackham Merit Fellow at the University of Michigan. His research examines the aftermath of mass violence in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia through the lenses of historical narrative, social memory, and collective action. His work has been published in The Yale Review of International Studies, The Tufts Hemispheres Journal of International Affairs, and Foreign Policy in Focus.
Previously, Patrick was a Legislative Assistant and an Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies Fellow in the Office of U.S. Representative Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan (MP-00) and a Foreign Affairs Intern at the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Government and Politics (with High Honors) and a minor in Asian American Studies.
