Jarron graduated from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. As an undergraduate, his research explored demographic, institutional, and intellectual patterns in sociologists’ perceptions of their discipline’s future. At the University of Michigan, Jarron’s research focuses on the sociology of knowledge and culture, examining how the production of knowledge within the human sciences both responds and contributes to social change. Jarron is a proud Chicagoan and a longtime fan of jazz and chocolate chip cookies.
