About
She is a joint PhD student in Sociology and Social Work, focusing on poverty alleviation among low-income families. With a particular interest in those earning minimum wage and single mothers, she aims to understand their unique circumstances and develop interventions to enhance their well-being and socio-economic mobility. Currently, she is conducting research on the Child Savings Accounts (CSAs) as an asset-building program for low-income families, examining their impact on higher education. Moving forward, she aspires to expand her research into the intersections of poverty, race, gender, and social policy, contributing to promote social justice. Her goal as a researcher is to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and communities facing socio-economic challenges.
