Leah Richmond-Rakerd was named the 2024 recipient of the APS Janet Taylor Spence Award. "This award recognizes transformative early career contributions to psychological science. As stated by APS, recipients of the award are among the most creative and promising investigators in psychological science." APS also remarked that "[a]s a result of [Richmond-Rakerd's] interdisciplinary approach to the study of self-regulation, her work is influencing multiple fields of psychological science and has implications for public health and public policy."
